Race to finish!

As the deadline for our campaign products is for next week, every group, from the first period has been busy collecting the last parts need to complete their project. My group and I had a brief discussion about what should go into the leaflet and how our leaflet would be bound together. We talked about which would be the best way to present the leaflet to Chris as today was the day we pitched our project ideas to him.

We spent the morning finishing and polishing off our leaflets / facebook pages. This made everyone quite stressed and the communication between groups broke down making it hard to get across what needed to be done. After lunch we then began creating a short presentation that we had to present to Chris. The presentation included points such as:
Below is a screenshot of the presentation's first slide:

Our Ideas : (so things like our happy hour idea where there's cheaper shakes for an hour- we only chose an hour because we didn't want Chris to lose out on too much profit.)

Designs We didn't use and why : (We had to explain why we chose a shaped leaflet and why we didn't chose a normal leaflet)

Final Idea : (Each point took up one slide but this slide was full with the projects design, shape, why it was appealing to Primark customers. I think this slide was a real turning point for our presentation because it explained our response to Chris's brief. )

We used Microsoft PowerPoint to create the presentation. I found editing the PowerPoint quite easy because it had already been created by Bex and Emily. When I was editing the PowerPoint, I found that it lacked visual aid. I inserted into the PowerPoint pictures that we had taken at Shakin' Moos. I also copy and pasted pictures from 'Google' into the PowerPoint presentation. The links below are to the pictures I used on slide 5:

These pictures where helpful because they explained our idea of having a fiberglass cow at shakin' moos. The significance of the shot glasses is just to give a vague idea of what we meant by milkshake tester shots (in plastic cups).

After Chris came in the tension in the room rose as the first group went up to present their pitch to him. I found the fact that we where next hard to deal with, because we hadn't finished the presentation and we where having difficulties with the pictures; in our 3rd and 5th slides. I manage to sort the problem with the pictures by deleting the ones on the powere point and replacing them with the same ones only copied from a different file. I was glad that the problem was solved because then the pitch to Chris would go well. However I found that some of the pictures where the wrong way round on (slide 5) but that wasn't too much of a problem because it didn't stand out too much .

Personally, I think that today went really well and the feedback from Chris was very positive and thoughtful. I think that for the next lesson we need to learn on how to keep the communtication going when under pressure, because I think that was a big issue today.
